J.p. sauer model 1913 license#
If you’re out of state with no C&R license I will ship to your FFL if he accepts shipment from a non-licensee. The pistol now fires fine but the slide doesn’t lock back obviously. The original slide was kept since it was numbered to the pistol. Jim sourced and installed a correct military issue (narrow width sear - not commercial) firing pin. Second, the slide lock (in the upper portion of the trigger guard) had worn the slide's engagement detent so that the slide lock lever could not engage properly to hold the slide open. When I got the gun it wouldn’t function so I sent it to Jim Cate in Chattanooga, TN who is the pistol consultant for the German Gun Collectors Association - He discovered two problems with it. The original bring back certificate issued by Headquarters United States Forces European Theater is included. This pistol was brought back from Germany in 1945 by my father.
